Going to drop a few videos from the back session. Didn't manage to film it all in one go as it was to difficult to do it with out a gym partner, as well it ruins the tempo of the session.
The next month or so I'm dropping the big lifts, (I will explain in another post) working on proportions and mind muscle connection. A lot of one arm work, and volume is the plan.

Back to work after a, sort of, restful few days at home - ate to much and drunk to much 😜 @
Even decided to decided to do a bit of throw back to the old days whilst I was at home, where my love in sport and fitness began. A spot of cricket, (picture saying that in a posh accent 😂) Always a bowler, never a batsman. Bit rusty I have to say haha! Felt weird to be back bowling after 4 years but it was good fun spending some time in the nets with the old man.

Hello everyone, I'm back after a crazy few weeks.
What was supposed to be one de-load week transitioning into a new phase of my training has turn out to be four weeks long 😕
From sorting out a new house out in Leeds, to work life, to severe (old injury) back spasms and finally symptoms of swine flu. I'm finally back at work (currently working on my PT of the month advertisement after being awarded it last week) and hopefully back training next week if every thing stays quiet and

Sprinters determine the time how long the over 9 members in their team perform their exercises.
8 mins on their circuit then swap over to the other and so on. 45 min class in total.

A short clip from yesterday's back session.
In my hypertrophy week, its all about volume, steady with the reps and not burning out to early. There is a lot to get through 😬😷.
In this clip, doing bent over rows, at the same weight for:- 10,12,15,15, burn out set, burn out set and burnout set. Dropping the weight by 2.5 or 5kg after the last 15 rep set.
40 second rest in between or if you are training with your gym buddy go straight after he / she is finished. 💪🏻

As mentioned earlier I said I would give you a few points on why you need to consume Leucine when training.
- It is an essential amino acid, our bodies can't produce it, we can only get it from the food we eat and supplements.
- Leucine stimulates protein synthesis to build muscle.
- BCAAs (Branch Chain Amino Acids) make up a high proportion of the amino acids in the muscle. The muscle use this as fuel when training. (Depending on training your doing, as you can use glycogen as a

Current BCAA choice at the moment, Rich Piana's ALLDAYYOUMAY, Blue Raspberry Flavour. Incredible flavour and easy to drink through out the day. I mix two scoops in a 1.5L Bottle, one for the morning and another in the afternoon.
It has an incredible 10:1:1 BCAA ratio.

Smashed a heavy leg session in my strength week yesterday, definitely feeling the after affects today. Sitting down is not an option.
In terms of legs for me, I am pretty bottom heavy and legs have always been my strong point. I'm pretty happy with the condition they're in. I know there isn't going to be much definition with the training I'm doing now. However they are looking thicker and strength is going up.

I have decided to change things up from my usual carb sources of brown rice & quinoa and sweet potato as I have notice the high sodium contained in the microwaveable rice has made me pretty bloated, resulting in me holding a lot of water weight.

Hey Jack how was your weekend? Did you go out? Nah haha, had work and spent Sunday afternoon in the kitchen. That is where all the gains are made. Que. the stereotypical phrase,'failure to prepare, prepare to fail.'
So yeh been that kind of day again. All about that prep life. 2.5kg Cajun turkey thigh mince and 2.5kg Teriyaki beef mince, packed full of veg as usual 👌🏻This should last me awhile aha.

Hood up, head down and lift!!
So I'm going to share a clip from my shoulder workout I did on Sunday. This video comes from my strength week, so it's all about low volume and slow tempo. I don't go to heavy with the lifts when it's comes to shoulders as I'm still trying to get my strength back in them after last years injury. Still along way to go with it, a few clicks and clunks when moving it but noticing small differences already.

Current update pic, 6 weeks into mass training - 2 weeks into phase 2 of my programme. I'm happy with the process so far, feeling stronger, fuller and thickness is coming along nicely, especially in my legs. Might drop a leg selfie soon 😏

Anyone that is a hard gainer like me, do not be afraid to load up on those carbs. I'm on a current ratio of 50% carbs 25% protein 25% fats. Carbs are your friend not your enemy haha.

3 Warm Up sets 8-10 reps
4 Working Sets @ 75% 1RM 6/8 reps
4 Working Sets @ 80% 1RM 4/6 reps
Lat Pull Down
Alt sets, one set overhand the next set underhand. (Key change if you want to focus on working your lower lats.)
In each set, 6/8 reps heavy the drop the weight by 15kg and do 10/12 reps.

The Menu:-
2 Tupperware - 200g Sun Dried Tomato Basmati Rice. (Pre-Work out meal.)
3 Tupperware - 180g Wholewheat pasta.
2 Tupperware - 200g Wholegrain Brown Rice.
The meat selection a little bit of everything (160g portion.) Turkey Mince in one Tupperware, Beef Mince in the other. Keeping it easy.

'Spice up your life.' Recipe number 2 from last night. This is spicy (mild) turkey thigh mince. As let's be honest turkey generally needs as much flavour as possible. Again like the beef mince as well as all the flavour, it's packed full of veg, red onions, baby plum tomatoes, grated carrots and spinach. Full of flavour, full of goodness and great macros.

What I have found, especially for hard gainers like me who need to get a lot of meals in, mince is a great substitute from eating tons of rubbery cold chicken 😂 haha.
