The Life of a HARDGAINER
A hard gainer like myself and many of you out there have spent hours reading, talking and trolling through page after page on the internet and social media for the best way to stop being that tall skinny lanky kid with the doddgy hair cut basically looking like the double of shaggy from scobby doo into wanting to look like Arnold. This is good thing, you have the motivation and determination in wanting to change. (In my next blog I will be writing about goal setting, motivation and mind state.)
To start though this blog is just a quick brief on the subject and the purpose of the diary. Over time I have heard and read a lot of things saying, eat this, lift this, do that and take this. Now, what is a hardgainer? According to bodybuilding.com, a ‘hardgainer is classified as someone who cannot make positive changes to their physiques, no matter who much effort they put in. They might strive away for hours at a time in the gym, eat the right foods, take the latest supplements, and yet still cannot put on a pound of muscle.’ So if you are an ectomorph the more technical way of putting it I hope you enjoy and find this blog useful. If you need some more precise advise or would like to train with me, drop me an e-mail.
One thing I will make clear now is I am full time natty, I do not and will never take steriods or anything of the sort. As I’m sure many of you out there have heard that is the best way to get big, lift big, and will get you looking like your idols you see on social media in no time at all. I’m sure after publishing this and through the other blogs I post I will get a lot of abuse saying, ‘what a load of crap etc, if you take it safely and don’t abuse it you will be fine.’ (If you do, I will name and shame you.) Now maybe they are right, maybe they know something I don’t know but this is a blog from a personal eye. As well in the public eye, it’s your opinion on what would you rather want?
Option One:- Progressive slow, steady and maintainble for life results. With no health implicantions. Following a strick and enjoyable training and diet.
Or
Option Two:- Fast results but with unknowing health implications in the long run.
To finish, what my aim is for you, the reader, is I am giving you an all access, personal insight as said in the day to day life of a hardgainer, physically and mentally. Looking at what is the best way to achieve the results you want safely, what supplements to take, what your diet should look like and what training to do.
